Board Thanks Symposium Participants

The Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation is grateful to all who participated in the Strathbutler Symposium. In conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Strathbutler Award, the Board of Directors organized this focused look at N. B. Visual Arts as part of its commitment to promote the visual arts in New Brunswick.

The Board of Directors would like to thank our partners, the New Brunswick Museum and artsnb for dedicating time, space, staff and resources to this work. Together we hope to build the visual arts in New Brunswick using the ideas from this symposium as inspiration for deepening and enriching the work we are doing.

The Board of Directors congratulates New Brunswick News, the Telegraph Journal and Kate Wallace for their vision and work in creating Salon, a weekly showcase of New Brunswick art news and reviews. The Arts Advocacy Awards presented to them during the symposium attest to the art community’s appreciation for the role they play in promoting all the arts in New Brunswick.
