Please join us on Wednesday 7 November for a first peek at Studio 360°, an online video archive profiling six Sackville artists in their studios. The six artist featured in Studio 360° work in a range of media and approaches and are at different stages in their careers, from emerging to senior and established. The artists are: Kaeli Cook, Mark Igloliorte, Andrea Mortson, Graeme Patterson, Jerry Ropson, and Anna Torma.

The videos in Studio 360° reveal the working context for the artists’ practices as well as their own reflections on their studios as constructed spaces for the creation of art. As a complement to the on-camera interviews, the project will include interactive 360˚ panoramic photographs of each studio, offering virtual access to the studio spaces and educational resources for teachers.

Studio 360° is produced by the Owens Art Gallery produced in partnership with Faucet Media Arts Centre, funded by a grant from the the Sheila Hugh MacKay Foundation.

For the preview screening, highlights from each of the six interviews will be shown for the first time. The Studio 360° artists will be present and everyone is invited to attend.

Established in 1987, the Sheila Hugh MacKay Foundation plays an important role in the promotion and support of the visual arts in New Brunswick. Annual special grant funding is provided to support innovation and development in the visual arts.
