curated by George Kinghorn at University of Maine Museum of Art in Bangor, ME, USA. Exhibition runs from 23 September to 31 December, 02016, opening is 22 September at 4pm.\r\rIn this exhibition we find the following artists: Erik Edson, Darren Emenau, Mathieu L\u00e9ger, Neil Rough, Stephen Scott, Anne-Marie Sirois, Dan Steeves, Anna Torma and Istvan Zsako.\r\rFrom the website:\r\r\"Contemporary Currents: Nine New Brunswick Artists\" highlights a diversity of creative approaches and genres\u2014from representational to conceptual\u2014by artists from throughout New Brunswick. Also varied is the wide range of media in the exhibition that includes ceramic, photography, oil painting, assemblage, mixed media, sculpture, and printing processes. The works in Contemporary Current underscore the refreshingly pluralist nature of contemporary art across the globe. Like the briskly moving currents of divergent thoughts winding through today\u2019s art world, these artists offer multiple points of view on the complex nature of contemporary artistic practice.\r\rThis exhibition is the result of a partnership between the University of Maine Museum of Art, a cultural resource of Maine\u2019s flagship land and sea grant university, and the New Brunswick Department of Tourism, Heritage & Culture. New Brunswick has a dedicated history of supporting the professional development of artists; the majority of works featured in this exhibition were acquired for the collection of its long-standing Art Bank program.\r\rFeatured artists:\rErik Edson, Darren Emenau, Mathieu L\u00e9ger, Neil Rough, Stephen Scott, Anne-Marie Sirois, Dan Steeves, Anna Torma and Istvan Zsako\r\rExhibitions sponsors:\rMachias Savings Bank & Maine Arts Commission","created_timestamp":"1474631376","copyright":"\u00a9 2016 Mathieu L\u00e9ger","focal_length":"24","iso":"200","shutter_speed":"0.125","title":"MaineMuseum2016","orientation":"1","keywords":["Erik Edson","Darren Emenau","Mathieu L\u00e9ger","Neil Rough","Stephen Scott","Anne-Marie Sirois","Dan Steeves","Anna Torma","Istvan Zsako","Maine Museum of Art","University of Maine","George Kinghorn","New Brunswick","Ministry of Tourism Heritage and Culture","Nouveau-Brunswick","New Brunswick Art Bank","Banque d'oeuvre d'art du Nouveau-Brunswick","Bangor Maine","Maine","Bangor","USA","Canada"]},"original_image":"11MLeger2016OnSilverPlatter_MaineMuseum01.jpg"},"post":null,"source_url":"https:\/\/sheilahughmackay.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/11MLeger2016OnSilverPlatter_MaineMuseum01-scaled.jpg","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/sheilahughmackay.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/7483"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/sheilahughmackay.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/sheilahughmackay.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/attachment"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sheilahughmackay.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}]}}
