Anna Torma, of Baie Verte, has won this year’s $10,000. Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation International Residency. An internationally respected artist, Ms. Torma will be working in Paris, France and Cipressa, Italy in preparation for an upcoming solo exhibition at the Textile Museum of Canada in 2020. A Strathbutler artist and Lt. Governor’s Award winner, Ms. Torma continues to present a complex contemporary narrative through luminous tapestries.
