PETER LAROCQUE B.F.A., DIP.ED., M.A.
Peter J. Larocque, B.F.A. (cum laude), Mount Allison University, 1983; Dip. Ed., McGill University, 1987; M.A. (History), University of New Brunswick, 1996, is Head of the Humanities Department of the New Brunswick Museum where he has worked in a curatorial capacity since 1988.
Responsible for the New Brunswick cultural history and art collections, his areas of concentration for publication and exhibition are fine art as well as textiles. In 2014, he was designated a Fellow of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design as well as an honorary member of the New Brunswick Historical Society.
Laroque is curator of the Permanent Strathbutler Collection at the New Brunswick Museum and actively collaborates with the foundation to promote contemporary visual art.
