The SHMF is pleased announce its support for the upcoming June visual art conference “East of There” being hosted by the New Brunswick Museum between June 20 and 23rd.
Each year, the foundation selects unique projects that will enhance the New Brunswick visual arts ecosystem. In 2013 we are proud to work in partnership to examine current trends and challenges in the Atlantic Canadian visual arts scene and to foster the collaborative Atlantic spirit
East of There is a collaborative conference being held by the Atlantic Provinces Art Gallery Association (APAGA), the Atlantic region artist-run centres Association(AARCA) and the nationally based Artist-Run Centres and Collectives Conference /Conference des collectives et des centres d’artistes autogéres (ARCCC-CCCAA) and the Association des groups en arts visuels francpphones (AGAVF)
On June 21st, as part of this conference, Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation will present the Jack Weldon Humphrey Forum. This series of presentations will explore the issue of regionalism in Canadian art. The general public is invited to attend the lectures and panel discussions. Pre-registration is required.
