Xiuting Shi – Fred Ross Scholarship
SHMF offers congratulations to Xiuting Shi, a graduating senior at Fredericton High School who has been selected by an independent jury to receive an $8000 Fred Ross Scholarship. Ms. Shi plans to enter the University of Waterloo in September. In selecting Ms. Shi, the jury stated “Xiuting Shi is a promising young artist with a distinctive evocative style. Her portfolio reflects a heightened creativity and impressive technical skills. Shi’s provocative artist statement as well as her mature skill in rendering line, movement, form, color and light show great potential. This jury highly recommends Ms. Shi for the 2021 renewable Fred Ross scholarship, believing that she has the passion and the talent to excel in post secondary education and career development.”
