Each year, with the goal of investing in the long-term sustainability of visual arts organizations and collectives, SHMF considers grant applications for impactful, timely initiatives that advance opportunities in exhibition, creation, education and art appreciation. The Sheila grants are competitive. The most compelling proposals, adjudicated by independent jury panels, will be selected for 2026 investment by SHMF.
For the 2026 cycle, SHMF invites Sheila grant requests to a maximum of $20,000 from New Brunswick visual arts organizations and collectives to assist them in the development of individual strategic visions or staff development.
All applications must be submitted on-line before January 9, 2026. No late submissions will be accepted.
