Since its incorporation in 1987, the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation has provided grants to enhance excellence in the visual arts in New Brunswick. Each year, two major grant programs are offered, the Sheilas and Signature Grants.
The Sheilas
“The Sheilas” – SHMF Annual Facilitation Grant Program is available to arts organizations and collectives. These grants are intended to support one of a kind projects aimed at fostering new initiatives in the province.
Signature Grants
Outside the parameters of the annual “Sheilas”, the Board of Directors strives to be responsive to exceptional needs and opportunities. A wide range of signature projects have been undertaken to enhance the visual arts in New Brunswick.
The Board of Directors will consider signature grant requests twice yearly. All proposals should be received by the foundation on or before April 1st and September 1st.
