Susan Vida Juda
Susan Vida Judah is a celebrated tapestry artist currently working from her studio in Upper Kingsclear. A graduate of the Hereford School of Art and the Royal College of Art in London England, Ms. Judah emigrated to Canada in 1976. She has served as the Head of the Textile Department of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design before deciding to dedicate her energies to her own work as a tapestry artist. A life-long advocate for the arts, Ms. Judah has been a co-chair of New Brunswick Arts Board and maintains strong ties with the local arts and culture scene. She is a recipient of the prestigious Kjeld and Erica Deichmann Award for Excellence in Craft (2000), the Bene Award (1990); and was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (1989). Judah has works in a variety of private and public collections in New Brunswick, England, Austria, Poland, and the Caribbean. Her most recent exhibition “Beyond the Garden Path” has been on tour in New Brunswick throughout 2009.
Adam MacDonald
Adam MacDonald is a Fredericton based artist, printmaker and educator. He holds Bachelor degrees in Political Science and Adult Education and is currently teaching Drawing and Communication at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in the Foundation Program. MacDonald has received a NB Creation Grant as an Emerging Artist and his work has recently been acquired by NB Arts Bank. He serves as Chairman of Membership and Communications committees of Gallery Connexion.
Caroline Young Walker
Caroline Young Walker has more than twenty years professional experience in the New Brunswick arts sector. Following graduate studies in art history at Carleton University, Caroline was Head of the Education and Communications department at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton for 12 years. While at the Gallery, she initiated special programs for diverse audiences, including teachers, children and teens, and school groups. She was also responsible for developing the popular international gallery/museum tour program for Gallery members. Since 2000, she has been manager of the New Brunswick Art Bank in the Department of Wellness, Culture and Sport. In addition to organizing biannual touring exhibitions of new acquisitions, she recently organized the Art Bank’s 40th Anniversary Celebration exhibition that travelled to 6 New Brunswick towns and cities.
