SAINT JOHN – Arts philanthropist Sheila Hugh Mackay left a specific mandate under the terms of her will – she wanted her foundation to become an agent for New Brunswick visual arts.
he Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation took the first steps in realizing the wishes of their benefactress on Monday with the Strathbutler Symposium: NB Visual Arts in Focus. The symposium, bringing together arts workers from across the province, continues today at the New Brunswick Museum in Saint John.
