Advocacy Projects

2018  Association of  NB Art Centre Directors

From 2018 through to the present, SHMF is a proud supporter of a  pan-provincial networking initiative bringing together nine community based New Brunswick art centres  directors. Linked by their common principles of being cultural stewards, these leaders are working together to collaborate on fiscal strategies to sustain the important contributions of the regional art centres of the province.  They have established an association to share ideas and opportunities in delivering quality progamming, offering professional exhibition experiences and advocating for inclusivity through art.  Funding is being  made available to this collective to support the growth of a lasting professional association.

SHMF takes an active role in fostering collaboration and dialogue in the New Brunswick art community. Arts administrators, curators and donors play a vital role in providing vision, organization and management of cultural assets.   By promoting networking events, SHMF seeks to foster working relationships that will result in growth and development.
