Strathbutler Award will be valued at $25,000
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that beginning in 2011, the Strathbutler Award will be valued at $25,000 to honour a New Brunswick artist for excellence and for a substantial contribution to the province of New Brunswick. The Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation will award this prize biannually on the recommendation of an independent juyl of art professionals. In presenting this award to Mr. Herzl Kashshetsky on September 9th, 2011, Madame Louise Imbeault, chair of the Board of Directors, noted that funds made available to the foundation through the will of philanthropist Sheila Mackay, allow the Foundation to continue to build the on the Strathbutler tradition inaugurated in 1991.
