With the firm belief that the arts community flourishes through consultative, creative and collaborative exchange, SHMF will be electing projects that demonstrate a clearly articulated vision, identify a target community and propose a cost effective program. Preference will be given to groups that present innovative approaches to supporting the visual arts community.
In 2019, SHMF will consider proposals from organizations and collectives seeking to enhance the careers of NB artists through exhibitions. In 2020, the focus of facilitation grants will be the publication of well-researched, analytical projects on the work of New Brunswick artists. These grants are intended to result in a print publication by a reputable publishing house or collective.
