Barbara Lee-White

In 2023, Barbara Lee-White was invited to join the Board of Directors, bringing her in-depth experience with human resources, strategic planning, and global cultural awareness to the management of the SHMF. Her infectious delight in all things creative and strong managerial skills support the Board’s vision for shaping the foundation as a valuable resource for the future of visual arts in New Brunswick.

She is a graduate of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax with a BA in Modern Languages and Civilization.  A founding member of the Rothesay Crafts festival, and life-long supporter of the SHM throughout its evolution, Lee-White has been an active arts advocate, throughout her professional career. Barbara began her career as a front-line travel agent and in 1985 she opened and operated Uniglobe Travel in Saint John, which was purchased by Maritime Travel in 2013. She has served on the Board of the Uniglobe Franchise Association representing Atlantic Canada and in later years as a Board member for ACTA both on the National level and as the Chair of Atlantic Canada.
