Monday, the revered 84-year-old Saint John painter watched as his reanimated murals were officially unveiled at The Richard J. Currie Center at the University of New Brunswick Fredericton.
“I am delighted to see it recreated in such a beautiful way, and the fact the whole incident, the whole story, has quite a happy ending,” said Ross, sporting a blue and red bowtie not unlike the one he donned for his original self-portrait captured in the mural.
All smiles, with his grey hair wisped back, the artist holds no grudges or resentment about the history of his work.
“As far I’m concerned, it’s been a wonderful adventure.”
