With great sadness, the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation acknowledges the passing of the acclaimed artist Fred Ross.
Since 2001, the foundation has celebrated Mr. Ross’s artistic talent and exceptional contribution to the development of young artists through a scholarship named in his honour. The Fred Ross Scholarship has grown in value since its inception and is now the premier visual arts scholarship in New Brunswick.
Recently, the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation was proud to sponsor the ambitious recreation of a lost Ross mural. This work is a testament to the potential of the future which is a fitting memorial to the artist who saw beauty and grace in humanity. The foundation offers profound condolences to Lorna, Cathy and Christopher.
