The Collaborative Creation Project “Évangéline”
Forgotten boxes of old printing plates from the Acadian newspaper L’Évangéline (1887-1982) found their way to the Musée acadien de l”Université de Moncton and inspired Jennifer Bélanger, the director of Imago to propose a research and exhibition project to the artistic community. She selected six artists to create prints by re-appropriating photographic plates spanning from 1950 to the 1970s. The participating artists were: Alisa Arsenault, Rémi Belliveau, Marjolaine Bourgeois, Angèle Cormier, Carole Deveau and Mathieu Léger. The project was exhibited throughout the summer of 2015 with an accompanying publication.
